Family and Systemic Constellations

Family and Systemic Constellations method was developed by Bert Hellinger in the early 90’s and it draws on the elements of family systems therapy to reveal a previously unrecognised systemic dynamic that spans multiple generations in a given family and to resolve the challenging effects of that dynamic.

Family and Systemic Constellations is a simple modality that helps reveal obstacles, limitations and entanglements that may stop us from living the life we want. Constellations can help with issues such as:

• personal relationships,

• family and organisational difficulties,

• financial issues,

• personal and professional relationships

• physical and mental health issues (addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, etc.) and many other challenges.

Constellations work can be done in a group and 1 to 1 session, online and in person. A Constellation refers to an arrangements of elements or parts that emerge in one’s family system. In a group setting a person that brings a personal issue will choose representatives to be part of his/her constellation and actively observes the unfolding process. The whole group holds space to support the issue holder and the constellation explores underlying, and often unseen, dynamics that provide fresh perspectives and new insights. The facilitator suggests resolving sentences to the representatives and if needed adds missing elements and/or resources in order to bring completeness and balance to the system.
